White radish is another effective treatment option for hemorrhoids. It should be grated and mixed with honey. Taking white radish juice combined with a pinch of salt can cure piles. The patient should drink 70-90 mil of juice twice a day preferably during the morning and evening. A paste of radish and milk combination can be applied to the swollen area in order to reduce the pain and discomfort.
Applying cold water reduces the swelling of the veins and strengthening of the walls. The patient should do this method twice a day by sitting in a tub full of cold water up to the chin level.
Applying cold compress to the rectal region at least one hour prior to sleeping at night will likewise help in treating hemorrhoids. Drinking a cup of boiled milk-mashed banana combination three times a day will greatly help in relieving the pain of hemorrhoids.
Another effective food treatment is jambul fruit combined with salt. The food should be consumed every morning for a period of three to four months when the fruit is in season.
Drinking a combination of half teaspoon of fresh ginger juice, lime juice, mint leaves, and one tablespoon of honey once a day can help cure hemorrhoids as well.
