With no blood flow, the hemorrhoids will slowly shrivel and eventually die. The benefits of a PPH surgery are a person will feel less pain, there is quicker recovery, less itching and bleeding, and there are few complications.

There also other minor surgery options that a person can choose from to remove hemorrhoids or reduce the size of hemorrhoids. There is a surgery using a special laser beam to burn the hemorrhoidal tissue away. The rubber band ligation is done through placing a rubber band around the base of the hemorrhoids. This will cut off the blood supply thus killing the hemorrhoidal tissue. A sclerotheraphy is a procedure where the blood vessels of the hemorrhoids will be injected with a chemical solution causing the vessels to shrink and disappear.

Although these minor surgery options will result to fewer complications and less pain for the person with hemorrhoids, still the best surgery for hemorrhoids is Hemorrhoidectomy, which will give better long-term results.
