Special Hemorrhoid Diet
A lot of hemorrhoid cases should have been avoided if only the right foods had been taken and the wrong one had been avoided. Here are some tips for avoiding a hemorrhoid and for lessening the aggravation of the same.
With or without hemorrhoids, the main thing to remember is to have the bowel movement as easily and freely flowing as possible. First of all, this means drinking lots of water and natural fruit juices without sugar, especially refined white sugar. Liquor and other hard drinks are out of the question. These often aggravate swelling, and even make hemorrhoid swelling throb or pulsate at times, adding to the pain and discomfort.
Pure water is the best liquid intake for those with or even without hemorrhoids. Fresh fruit drinks, especially those with heavy natural concentrates of Vitamin C, are good. Vitamin C is a known stress fighter which is good especially for those who have hemorrhoids. Of course, natural fresh fruits and vegetables are also the highly recommended diet content for hemorrhoid relief or prevention.
The champs in anti-hemorrhoid diets are green leafy vegetables known to be high in fiber. Fresh fruits are mostly fibrous foods that aid in easy bowel movements. Among these fruits are prunes, pineapple, bananas, and papayas. Eat whole wheat bread that has high fiber content. Avoid white bread that often forms hard substances in the stool.
Softdrinks must be avoided. In fact everything that has refined white sugar content must be avoided, even synthetic “fruit” juices (often in powder form) which merely contain artificial food flavors and lots of sugar. Other foods to be avoided for some hemorrhoid relief are dairy and flour products. These tend to harden the stool and cause difficulty in bowel movement.
So where do we get our protein then? The best protein source for anti-hemorrhoid diets is natural yogurt. As we cut milk, cheese, and cream and other dairy products from our diet, we substitute these with natural, unsweetened yogurt. Yogurt has a naturally restructured molecular content that eliminates dairy’s constipating properties but retains protein supplying capabilities.
There are plenty of natural food supplement in the market today. Most food supplements derived from natural fruit sources are good for alleviating hemorrhoid problems. One product are probiotics. Probiotics are good bacteria that eliminates bad bacteria. Some probiotics can be applied both internally as a drink and externally as a topical medication.
Hemorrhoids may be prevented or lessened through proper diet and some natural food supplements.
