Hemorrhoids and Chinese Acupuncture Treatment

Treatment Options for Hemorrhoids

For home remedies of hemorrhoids, having more fiber and fluids in your daily diet can relieve the symptoms of hemorrhoids. Less straining during bowel movement will reduce the pressure within the hemorrhoids, thus preventing them to protrude. Hemorrhoidectomy is a treatment that requires surgery for the removal of hemorrhoids. The treatment is the best of all the treatments because it will remove the hemorrhoids permanently. The treatment will require hospitalization, a time of inactivity, and anesthesia will be given depending on the situation of the patient.

Laser hemorrhoidectomy is also available but have the same benefits compared to the standard hemorrhoidectomy. The difference is that it is more expensive and it is not true that it is painless.

There are also other treatments available to be relieved from the pain of hemorrhoids. These are BICAP coagulation, cryotherapy, and direct current. The method of treatment for BICAP coagulation and direct current will shrink the hemorrhoids but both have not gained popularity. Cryotherapy is a treatment that will freeze the tissues of the hemorrhoids and has been popular many years ago.
