Sclerotheraphy and Cryogenic

Surgery

Hemorrhoids may be a subject that matter that makes some people laugh. In fact there are lots of jokes that have been based on hemorrhoids. Maybe it’s because that people who have hemorrhoids have asses that suddenly look similar with a baboon’s ass. Regardless of how funny a baboon’s ass may look like hemorrhoids are really serious matters. There are lots of people that when they reach middle age will be afflicted with this condition.

External hemorrhoids could be treated with just ointments, herbs or other remedies that could make the person feel relieved and comforted. However a person who is afflicted with an internal hemorrhoid should immediately see a doctor and should not let the matter be forgotten. The things about internal hemorrhoids are that they won’t give you nay pain or discomfort but they will produce a growth. The only thing that can make you think that you have internal hemorrhoids is when you see blood spots all over you undergarments, stool, tissue paper and toilet bowl. So have it treated by a doctor before it reaches the advanced and stages and would need to be treated with the following procedures.

Injection or Sclerotherapy:
This procedure involves the injection of a hardening or sclerosing agent at the base of the internal hemorrhoid. It causes the vein walls to collapse and hemorrhoid to shrivel up because it is a saline solution or a scar producing chemical. This procedure can be done to multiple hemorrhoids all at the same time. This treatment is what doctors prefer to use for older people who have veins that are fragile. There are rare instances however that complication such as abscesses can develop from sclerosed hemorrhoids.

Freezing Method or the Cryosurgery:
A device called the cryoprobe is cooled to freezing temperature by liquid nitrogen or nitrous oxide. The tissue of the hemorrhoid is then destroyed when the tip of the probe touches it and freezes it. The hemorrhoids will then shrink and fall off 2 to 3 weeks later. This method can be done for either internal or external hemorrhoids. This method was popular 20 years ago but because of the pain and complications it presents. Complications such as foul odor that will come from the treated hemorrhoid will last weeks and the wound could also become infected.

These are only a couple of method s that can be done to further prevent the worsening of your hemorrhoid problems. When you have hemorrhoids, try to tell people who laugh at you that this is not a joke. It is a very painful matter and it takes a tough man to face the painful ways of removing these hemorrhoids. If the people who laugh at you can also endure the pain, then laugh with them. If not, ask for the respect that you deserve.
