How To Know If It’s The Real H Thing

A Guide to Hemorrhoid Symptoms

Just like you shan’t ever ask your date how much he earns every year, discussing hemorrhoids like it’s akin to the state of the weather simply screams taboo. People would look at you with big eyes and brand you as uncouth and not to fit to darken their gilded doorsteps ever again. Hence, it’s not entirely surprising that most people opt to suffer in silence rather than open up about their delicate conditions. Unfortunately, not addressing the issue at hand may just make the condition deteriorate further.

Thanks to the advent of the world wide web, however, where you can be anonymous as you want to be or call yourself Michael Jordan even if you’re white, you can now seek information in discretion about whatever topic it is that interests you.

And in this case, it’s hemorrhoids.
More specifically, what are the symptoms of hemorrhoids?
But before answering that question, let’s first give a simplified explanation of hemorrhoids for those who are still somewhat confused. Hemorrhoids are not a contagious disease and since a number of people are under that misconception, there’s no doubt it makes the condition more distasteful than it really is. And in actuality, it’s not distasteful at all.

Hemorrhoid Symptom # 1 – Can you say ouch?

Experiencing anal pain? Especially when you’re doing the Number Two? Well, that’s certainly a good indication of hemorrhoids. The pain is caused by the sphincter complex spasm, whether it’s internal or external hemorrhoids. For internal hemorrhoids, the pain is not cutaneous – meaning, it’s not related to skin --- but it’s the opposite thing when it comes to external hemorrhoids because thrombosis occurs.

Hemorrhoid Symptom # 2 – Now you see it, now you don’t.
Look a few lines up and you’ll catch the word “thrombosis”. Thrombosis, fyi, is present when there’s a clot in the blood vessel. In this case, it looks like red, swelling veins in the vicinity of the anus. The pain caused by thrombosis lasts from 1-2 weeks but afterwards, it leaves some skin tags or excess skins. Take care not to irritate them to avoid causing further pain.

Hemorrhoid Symptom # 3 – It bleeds!
Yes, even when it doesn’t hurt but you see a drop of blood on the toilet bowl or on a used feminine wipe, this may be an indication that you’re suffering from hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoid Symptom # 4 – It’s a woman thing.

In certain cases, hemorrhoids occur when a woman’s either pregnant or having her period. Thankfully though, like being enceinte or having menstruation, hemorrhoids are not a permanent thing.

Hemorrhoid Symptom # 5 – The Bowel Dilemma
Although there are still no accurate findings about the cause of hemorrhoids, they frequently occur when a person is suffering from constipation and diarrhea.
Remember though, when in doubt, the best thing you can always do is consult an expert.
