Hemorrhoids? What the Hell is
Hemorrhoid is a situation that everyone who doesn’t want to have a pain in the ass learns more about. Hemorrhoids are a condition that occurs when veins in the rectum or anus become swelled. It is different than having a swelled head, because a swelled head can only harm other but a swelled rectum can harm your pride and your ass too.
Don’t laugh about this condition because this condition is a very common one on American people and worldwide too on people mostly the age of 50. For those who suffer hemorrhoids only few of them get treatments. The worst part about it is that 10 to 20% of those situations need surgery. Let’s take a more in depth look at hemorrhoids to know how serious they might get.
There are two kinds of hemorrhoids that you can experience, both with varying symptoms. But the main common point between the two types of hemorrhoids is that they both provide the person a pain in the ass.
The two types of hemorrhoids are either internal or external hemorrhoids. External hemorrhoids are those that happen on the outside of the anal opening. That area will experience itching, burning sensations, pain and swelling. It might not swell up to the level of a baboon’s ass, but precautionary measures should be taken.
The other type of hemorrhoid is the internal one. This hemorrhoid will occur inside your rectum and will not cause you any pain. So it will be pretty hard to know if you have internal hemorrhoids unless you observe it very well. The signs that you should learn to observe are blood spots on your stool when you crap, the toilet bowl, the toilet paper or even your underwear.
If you notice this signs go to a doctor immediately to have it treated. If you leave this untreated it turns into a prolapsed hemorrhoid where the hemorrhoid becomes pushed out of the anal opening. The prolapsed hemorrhoid can also be trapped outside when the anal sphincter muscle goes into spasms. It will then create a strangulated hemorrhoid because it will cut of the blood supply.
As said earlier, it is pretty hard to know if one has hemorrhoids when he observes bleeding or pain in the rectal area. The best thing to do when experiencing this is get opinions from doctors.
Hemorrhoids are caused by forced or strained bowel movement. Other causes are constipation, bad bathroom habits, bouts of diarrhea, Western diet, genetic predisposition, or pregnancy.
To prevent having hemorrhoids you should eat more fibrous foods, drink more fluids, and avoid laxatives. You should also learn to avoid sitting around all day and exercise more. Also avoid bad bathroom habits of reading for a long period of time on the bathroom.
If you already have hemorrhoids, the best way to treat it is just to wait because they heal by themselves. But it could be given temporary relief by cold compress, sitz bath and topical analgesic creams.
For people with chronic hemorrhoids the best way to treat it is by drinking natural supplements that could reduce the swelled veins. Rubber band ligation, scelrotheraphy, hemorrhoidectomy, cryosurgery, and infrared coagulation are all medical treatments to remove hemorrhoids.
