Hemorrhoids Overview

We’ve all heard how bad hemorrhoids could be. Not only in terms of being physically painful but in terms of emotional damage as well. Hemorrhoids have always been painful emotionally because a person who has hemorrhoids often finds himself the butt of the jokes. The person’s ass is often compared to that of a baboon because it sometimes balloons up and becomes reddish.

What exactly are hemorrhoids? Are the red asses of baboons considered to e hemorrhoids? Will my ass eventually turn like that? Let’s hope that this article will provide some answers for you to know more about hemorrhoids and how you could prevent them.

Hemorrhoids simply put are the swelling of the veins in the anus or rectum area. When you have external hemorrhoids or symptoms that happen outside the rectal area you will experience pain, itching, swelling and burning in that area. But maybe, it’s not external hemorrhoids; you may have just sat on some hot needles.

Another type of hemorrhoids is the internal ones. This type of hemorrhoids will occur inside your rectum and will not cause you any pain. So how will you know if you have this kind of hemorrhoid?

When you poop or take a crap there will be tiny drops of blood in your stool, the toilet bowl or even in the toilet paper or your underwear. You might be doubtful when you see blood on your underwear. You might just think that it’s probably poop stain from the jelly roll you ate. But you might want to think again.

So if you think you have internal hemorrhoids have it treated immediately because it might only become worse. It will turn into a prolapsed hemorrhoid when it gets pushed out of the anal opening. The prolapsed hemorrhoid may also be trapped outside and the anal sphincter muscle can go into a spasm. When this happens a strangulated hemorrhoid will be created because the blood supply will be cut off.

It will be pretty hard to know for sure if you have hemorrhoids internal or external. When you immediately spot bleeding in your rectum area or the places where your rectum is near, try to go to a doctor immediately.

This will help the doctor diagnose for sure if you have hemorrhoids because there are other symptoms that are similar to hemorrhoids. It might even be worse; it might even be colorectal cancer.
