Blood and Hemorrhoids
Medical conditions, ranging from the minor to the serious, lead to the appearance
of blood in the stool of a person. Among them:

Hemorrhoids (also called piles) - Bloated veins in the lower part of anal
region
•
Anal fissures - Small breaks around the anus which as a result of forceful
or large bowel movements
•
Infection or disease in the GI (gastrointestinal tract) – Infections
caused by bacteria, stomach ulcers, or inflammatory bowel disease
•
Tumors or cancer of the GI tract - Polyps or colon cancer.
Bright red bleeding in the region of the rectum due to cramps which may suggest
partial obstruction of the colon and may be suggestive of cancer.
Blood coming from the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract results to the formation of black stool. A bright red blood, on the other hand, means that the blood is coming from the large bowel or the rectum.
Black stools are caused by the intake of black licorice, iron pills, Pepto-Bismol or blueberries.
Chronic constipation and hemorrhoids are common results of the straining which leads to hemorrhoids. Common hemorrhoids are often triggered by the straining which accompanies chronic constipation.
Red blood in the stool
The formation of bright red blood in the stool can be attributed from tears in the tissues of the rectum, or from hemorrhoids and would normally be accompanied with constipation, bowel movement straining, and the consequent bleeding from the tissues of the rectum or hemorrhoids.
Hemorrhoids are probably the symptoms of hemorrhoids. Blood coming from the rectum and anus are the results hemorrhoids. However, if the bleeding extends for more than a couple of days, schedule an exam.
Proper diet and digestion may cause the stool to be soft and well-formed and float in water. It will be light and no bad odor. Lack of fiber-rich diets, unnecessary eating of processed foods may result to poor stool.
When the stool is dark and floats in the water or when there is an urge to eliminate, constipation and bloody stool may have occured.
Natural remedies for hemorrhoids.
Eating fiber-rich foos and water therapy may reduce the likelihood of hemorrhoids.
Other methods of hemorrhoid treatment are astringent herbs. Hazel is applied
to the infected area thrice or four times a day.
Hemorrhoids is really an unpleasant feeling but with the proper medication
and education we may lessen the problem of hemorrhoid occurrence.
